Holiday Pop-Up Market at Maui Mood Swing: A Day of Art, Community, and Local Magic
Isa Inca teaching the crowd some bellydance basics
On November 30, we filled the graffiti-lined courtyard of Maui Mood Swing in Wailuku with something that felt like pure island magic.
From 10 AM–2 PM, the space came alive with music, movement, creativity, and the kind of community connection that can only happen on Maui. People ate, shopped, danced, talked story, met new friends, and wandered through a courtyard overflowing with color, craft, and culture.
We kicked off the morning with a grounding mindfulness meditation led by Island Power Yoga. As everyone settled in under the soft Wailuku light, it set the tone for a morning that felt intentional, easeful, and open-hearted.
Throughout the day, DJ Babie (Natasha Boone) kept the energy moving with an effortlessly cool set, followed by an electrifying bellydance class and performance from local legend Isa Inca in the afternoon. The courtyard turned into a dance floor, a stage, and a gathering place all at once.
And of course, our lineup of Maui’s artists, makers, food creators, and small business owners brought their absolute best. Here’s a look at who filled the courtyard.
