Your Complete Guide to Maui's Farmers Markets
Your complete guide
to Maui's farmers markets.
Every market on the island. Every region. Days, times, what to expect.
There is no better way to understand where you are on this island than to show up at a farmers market at 7am with a reusable bag and zero agenda. The Upcountry fog still sitting on Haleakalā. Someone's tutu loading a flat of apple bananas into a cooler with the quiet authority of someone who has been doing this for forty years. That's Maui. That's the real thing.
Farmers markets here aren't a weekend activity — they're a way of life. A direct line between the people growing food on this land and the people eating it. They're where locals actually shop, where chefs source their menus, and where visitors who know what they're doing spend their mornings. Mālama ʻāina starts here: buy local, eat fresh, support the hands that tend this soil.
Here's every market on the island, organized by region, with everything you need to show up right.
There is no better way to understand where you are on this island than to show up at a farmers market at 7am with a reusable bag and zero agenda.

🌴 East Side / Hāna
Hāna Farmers Market
Fridays · 3pm – 5pm
1 Mill Rd, Hāna Town · 808-344-2706
Small, community-run, and completely worth it if you're out in Hāna. Hyper-local produce grown right in the valley, made by the people who live there. The pace is Hāna pace. Slow down and enjoy it.
Hāna Fresh Market
Mondays · 3pm – 6pm | Thursdays · 11am – 3pm
4590 Hana Hwy, Hāna
Run by Hāna Fresh, a community farm program that provides meaningful work and fresh produce to the Hāna community. Fruits, vegetables, and locally grown goods in one of the most remote and beautiful corners of the island. Supporting this market is supporting Hāna directly.
Before you go — the insider notes. 🤙
Bring cash. Most vendors prefer it, smaller farms often require it, and you'll move faster through the good stuff.
Get there early. The best produce and fresh-made food goes fast. Especially at Upcountry. 7am is not a joke.
Bring a bag. A big one. You will overbuy. This is not a problem. This is the point.
Start small with fruit. Maui produce ripens fast in the humidity. Buy what you can eat in a day or two and come back for more.
Hours can shift. Maui runs on island time. Check Instagram or Facebook before you drive across the island — vendors post when things change.
The Bottom Line
Every dollar you spend at a farmers market on this island goes directly back into the hands of the people growing it, making it, and showing up every week to share it with this community. That's mālama ʻāina made practical. That's how we take care of the land and each other.
Pick a market. Show up early. Bring cash and a bag and an open mind. Maui will do the rest.

who tend this soil."
