The Ritz-Carlton Spa Kapalua: My Honest Review

It may seem obvious that The Ritz-Carlton Spa Kapalua is one of the most luxury spa experiences on Maui, but this the Ritz spa is actually all it’s chalked up to be.

I got the Deep Cleansing Organic Facial with Rebecca and I’m clearly still thinking about it.

Doing what I do, I’ve had a lot of beautiful experiences on this island, but this one stood out.

The Experience

Don’t let the underground vibe deter you when you walk in. This place is a labyrinth of quiet nooks and thoughtful details everywhere from little zen gardens on tables to affirmation decks, delightful snacks (sugar plum tea!!) and coloring books to tap into your inner child. It’s pretty and it’s intentional.

I am known to host a banger ceremony and I’m not kidding when I say this is the kind of setup I would create if I were designing a space for people to actually drop into themselves.

They thought of it all.

The Facial

Rebecca was incredible.

Warm, personal, and fully present in a way you don’t always get. Her touch was so gentle and intentional that I actually fell asleep on the table, which I never do during facials.

The Deep Cleansing Organic Facial left my skin actually glowing.

Again, I’d like to say it should be a given that my esti at the Ritz is an expert at her craft, but you’d be surprised out there. And her level of care in every way went above and beyond. I really felt it when she woke me up with gentle pets on my hair like I was a sweet little chicken (which we found out are both of our favorite animal).

The Spa Amenities

You get full access to everything, and it’s a lot.

  • Steam room

  • Sauna

  • Relaxation lounge

  • Indoor jacuzzi

  • Outdoor jacuzzi

  • THE HOTEL POOL(S) AND JACUZZI!

But what I loved most wasn’t even the obvious stuff. It was the feeling that I was so cared for and thought of here and I could really snuggle into that. That’s top tier.

The Unexpected Perks

A few things that really set this spa apart:

  • They have one of the largest selections of Eminence products I’ve seen anywhere on Maui (if you know, you know)

  • You get full pool access with your spa service (BRUH)

  • They offer 20% off for kamaʻāina rates for both spa services and food

  • The intentionality.

Final Thoughts

This is one of the best spa experiences on Maui.

It’s luxurious, yes. But more than that, it’s thoughtful. It’s intentional. It feels like someone really cared about how you would feel while you were there.

Every moment felt like exactly what I needed.

And my skin? Still glowing. Literally!
